Oman Air becomes oneworld alliance’s 15th member airline

The Muscat-based airline is the newest addition to the airline alliance

Oman Air has officially become the oneworld alliance‘s 15th member airline, granting oneworld customers enhanced access to its route network. which spans the Middle East, Far East, Africa, and Europe.

“We are proud to welcome Oman Air to the oneworld family,” oneworld CEO said Nat Pieper said. “Oman Air brings valuable strategic reach and award-winning product and service to the alliance. This partnership opens up exciting new connections for our customers, particularly across the Gulf and South Asia, and reinforces oneworld’s position as the premium alliance for international travellers.”

As of 1 July, oneworld members can book flights across Oman Air’s extensive global network, including the newly launched non-stop Muscat–Amsterdam route. Oman Air customers, in turn, will benefit from seamless access to the alliance’s global reach, which spans over 900 destinations worldwide.

As a full oneworld member, Oman Air will offer its passengers and elite tier customers a suite of alliance-wide benefits. These include earning and redeeming miles, priority check-in and boarding, access to nearly 700 premium lounges, and newly introduced oneworld-branded lounges at Amsterdam’s Schiphol and Seoul’s Incheon Airports.

Based at Muscat International Airport, Oman Air operates flights to 42 destinations across 22 countries, many of which are key oneworld hubs. Known for its exceptional service and luxury offerings, the airline features three cabin classes, including the award-winning Business Studio with private suites.

In recognition of its service excellence, Oman Air was recently awarded “Best Food & Beverage” and “Best Cabin Service in the Middle East” at the APEX 2025 Awards. It also became the first airline to achieve APEX WORLD CLASS by YATES+ status for its Business Class Lounge in Muscat.
