Silversea has officially embarked on its most expansive Mediterranean season to date, with Silver Ray’s Lisbon departure on 15 April marking the start of an extraordinary deployment.
The luxury cruise line will operate 71 voyages across five ships in the region through the end of 2025 — with Silver Muse extending operations year-round in a first for the company.
“With a famously diverse offering of iconic cultural experiences, captivating history, and beautiful architecture, the Mediterranean is one of the world’s richest cruising regions and our guests’ enduring interest in its charm has inspired our largest-ever Mediterranean deployment for summer 2025,” Silversea President Bert Hernandez said.
Sailing on Silver Ray, Silver Dawn, Silver Muse, Silver Spirit, and Silver Whisper, the program features a total of 95 destinations, including ports inaccessible to larger ships such as Saint Tropez, Seville, Sete, Monopoli, and Menton.
Among the itineraries is an October voyage aboard Silver Muse from Athens to Athens, calling at iconic Greek Isles and Turkish coastlines. Guests can connect with Greek culture at the Archaeological Site of Mystras, visit Olympia, and enjoy local wine tastings in Souda Bay and Santorini.
Silver Ray, Silversea’s newest ship, will explore the Western Mediterranean from Monte Carlo to Civitavecchia between 31 October and 7 November. In Livorno, guests can access the medieval beauty, grandeur, and legacy of the castle in Castagneto Carducci and enjoy exclusive experiences in Naples, including a visit to the ruins of Pompeii.
For those seeking off-season escapes, Silver Dawn offers a November-to-December itinerary round-trip from Lisbon, touching Madeira, the Canary Islands, Spain, Gibraltar, and Portugal’s mainland. In Madeira, travellers can golf at Palheiro, or explore the UNESCO-listed Laurissilva Forest.
Silversea’s signature S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program adds an immersive culinary edge, including exclusive wine pairings in Tuscany, sherry tastings at Bodega Hidalgo in Cadiz, and a Provençal farmhouse lunch with Chef Paul Griffon in Marseille. Guests will learn the “building blocks” of the Provençal kitchen using ingredients from his family estate.
“With five ships across varying classes, Silversea’s range of voyage options in the Mediterranean is truly unique and perfectly responds to our guests’ preferred experiences,” Hernandez said.
