Banyan Group has announced the opening of Garrya Mu Cang Chai, a tranquil resort located in the mountainous region of Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai province in Northern Vietnam.
A national natural heritage site, Mu Cang Chai is an area renowned for its striking rice terraces and rich cultural heritage. Set around 300 kilometres north of Hanoi, it is a perfect getaway from the city, according to General Manager Thinh Phan.

As Garrya’s first property in Vietnam and the first international resort brand in the region, Garrya Mu Cang Chai spans 6.5 hectares of lush landscape and offers 110 rooms, suites, and villas. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of rice terraces and mountains, with easy access to local attractions such as Mam Xoi and Mong Ngua rice hills, the Mu Cang Chai bamboo forest, and Khau Pha pass.
The accommodations range from 30 to 154 square metres, blending modern design with local artistry. Rooms such as the Mu Cang Chai Pool Suite and Mountain View Pool Villa incorporate bamboo and H’Mong brocade motifs, while the Wellbeing Suites offer exclusive spa access amid a tranquil setting.Dining is another highlight, with Refresh restaurant serving local and international dishes in a serene mountain-facing setting.
