Date night gets an upgrade aboard Celebrity Xcel

Celebrity Cruises is set to redefine couples’ getaways with its newest ship Celebrity Xcel offering a luxurious upgrade to the traditional date night.

Promising “endless ways to keep date night going all day long,” Celebrity Xcel offers a variety of new culinary and entertainment experiences designed for romance and connection.

“Reconnecting with loved ones over new experiences is important to Celebrity guests,” said Michael Scheiner, Chief Marketing and Product Officer of Celebrity Cruises.

Celebrity Xcel will be their happy place with new dining options and all-new entertainment and activities creating endless opportunities to ‘Date Night, All Day Long’.”

A major highlight is Bora, a new rooftop al fresco restaurant offering the cruise line’s first-ever brunch service. Bora will “transport guests to the Mediterranean coast” with its “seafood-forward” menu, offering options like shakshuka eggs with coriander, avocado and sourdough toast, as well as croissant eggs benedict with lemon-scented salmon gravadlax.

By night, guests can enjoy seared branzino and garlic aioli, along with lamb tagine with saffron couscous, set to a soundtrack of Greek ballads and Italian love songs.Entertainment also reaches new heights aboard Celebrity Xcel, which features the cruise line’s most expansive and all-new entertainment offering with three new theatre shows and more than 75 resident performers – the most of any Celebrity ship, according to Lisa Lehr, Vice President of Entertainment.

Couples can keep the romance alive late into the evening with destination-inspired festivals, romantic candlelit concerts and a “Shine the Night” party under the stars.
