True North has unveiled a major $3 million dollar makeover of its small boat fleet, True North and True North II, with both vessels now primed for the 2025 sailing season.

At the heart of the refurbishment is the completely redesigned bar lounge aboard True North, with sleek interiors and a warm atmosphere.

“This is the most comprehensive refit we’ve ever undertaken, giving both ships a well earned touch up,” Chad Avenell, Director of True North, said. “Our guests expect nothing but the best, and these upgrades reaffirm our commitment to delivering once in a lifetime adventures.”

Both True North and True North II now feature new and improved seating areas on the bow, providing an ideal vantage point for whale watching, unobstructed sunsets, and the Kimberley’s dramatic landscapes.

Meanwhile, True North II debuts a new body, having undergone a full paint job. Its new look blends contemporary aesthetics with the vessel’s adventurous spirit, according to True North.

These latest enhancements were undertaken in partnership with leading Interior Designer Henri Living.

True North has also expanded its premium beverage selection, now offering an exclusive range of wines from new partner Plantagenet Wines, alongside beer served at all meal services.

On top of the major refits, True North has opened up a select number of cabins for solo travellers, now waiving the single supplement, making it easier than ever to embark on a solo adventure.

The vessels will sail itineraries around Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea in 2025, with the cruise line embarking on its Kimberley season. Itineraries feature the towering King George Falls, heli-tours, and the ancient Gwion Gwion rock art.
