Wifi rolling out across UnCruise Adventures fleet

The cruise operator has promised it won’t ruin its distinct style of travel

UnCruise Adventures has rolled wifi out across much of its fleet, with the change coming in response to guest feedback.

Guests sailing aboard the Wilderness Adventurer, Wilderness Discoverer, Safari Endeavour, Wilderness Legacy, and Safari Quest will now have access to onboard wifi. The connectivity rollout is also on the horizon for Safari Explorer and Safari Voyager.

The responsible cruise company insisted that although it was bringing “connectivity to the wilderness”, enabling guests to check in with family or handle urgent matters, the signal would “intentionally fade” upon entering national parks or wildlife zones.

“We set out to create a connection that works where it matters most—without taking away from what makes an UnCruise special,” said Solutions Engineer Morris Lowitz who oversaw the wifi rollout. “It took careful planning to bring wifi to such remote places, but our goal was always clear: give guests the option to connect, while preserving the chance to truly disconnect when it counts.”

Meanwhile, UnCruise Adventures Owner and CEO Captain Dan Blanchard, highlighted the importance of staying in tune with the evolving expectations of travellers.

“Our guests are adventurers, but they’re also parents, business owners, caretakers, and eager to share their experiences in real time,” he said. “We heard their call for occasional connection, and we answered with care. At the same time, we’ve safeguarded the core of the UnCruise experience: uninterrupted immersion in nature.

“By turning off Wi-Fi in protected areas, we ensure that the wilderness remains a place of wonder, not just another place to scroll.”
