A new customer-facing cruise platform from TravelManagers has been launched to help personal travel managers meet ongoing demand for cruise holidays.

The network’s newest technological innovation is designed to complement its in-house cruise wholesaler, Fastbook, that launched in September last year, according to TravelManagers’ Cruise Product Manager Lia Malone.

“Fastbook provides our PTMs with a wholesale platform that offers live, 24/7 availability and integrates with our back-office system,” she said.

“Now each PTM can also customise their website to extend that seamless online experience to their clients.”

The platform has been well received by both PTMs and clients, according to PTM Ange Bowerman who is based in Dromedary TAS.

“For many clients, the planning process is a major part of the holiday experience,” she said. “The new platform means they can now access a wealth of information through my own website. I can also send recommendations via the platform so my clients can study the options I’ve selected for them in more detail.”

This “duality” in the customer experience is key, according to TravelManagers – giving clients the ability to be part of the planning, with the security of the PTM taking care of everything.

“The platform currently provides real-time inventory and information from 32 different cruise lines,” Malone added.

“We already have a comprehensive range of ocean cruises and cruise tours online and we will soon be extending our offering to include river cruises as well.”
