HX has unveiled a fresh new fleet livery featuring its brand colours of indigo blue and sand, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing transformation.

This update follows the initial HX brand launch in December 2023 and comes after HX’s official separation from its Norwegian heritage sister brand, Hurtigruten, in February 2025.

“This is the next important step in the HX brand evolution,” Gebhard Rainer, CEO of HX Expeditions, said.

“The rebrand of our fleet is not just about aesthetics, it’s about creating an experience that resonates with our guests on every level. Our new fleet colours are a reflection of who we are today and where we are heading, while also maintaining a respectful distinction from our heritage brand, which will continue to proudly represent its own legacy in red and black.”

The new livery palette draws inspiration from marine wildlife with shades such as pearl, sand and arctic white, marking a modern departure from the red and black colours historically associated with Hurtigruten. This change will help guests easily distinguish between the two brands, especially in locations like Norway, where both will continue to operate.

This fleet rebrand is just one part of HX’s broader transformation, which also includes a revamped website, new indigo blue jackets for guests, and an overhaul of branded materials. These efforts reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability, science, and its rich history that dates back to its first expedition in 1896. With these new visual elements, HX Expeditions is set to continue offering unparalleled, responsible expedition experiences across both polar and warm-water destinations.
