A&K is offering significant savings for solo travellers on select 2025 expedition cruises, following a similar move by Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group-owned cruise brand Crystal.

Guests can now save 50% off the single supplement for stateroom categories 1 to 3. Additionally, those booking the European Coastal Cruise: Portugal, Spain & France can enjoy no single supplement at all.

A&K’s offering also includes a fully inclusive package, covering all shore excursions, and a staff-to-guest ratio of nearly one staff member per guest. Its small ships are able to dock in smaller ports, offering a more “intimate” experience with a maximum of between 148 and 199 guests per voyage. The cruises also offer “insider access to local communities,” to build a deeper connection to the destinations.

“Excursions are led by A&K’s highly acclaimed expedition team, whether that’s underwater archaeology experts, natural historians, climate specialists, or photographers.,” A&K said.

Available cruises include: Cruising the Seychelles & Coastal Tanzania (14 days, departing March 7, 2025), from $26,015, with a single supplement saving of up to $8,645; European Coastal Cruise: Portugal, Spain & France (10 days, departing May 12, 2025), from $21,420, no single supplement; the Arctic Cruise Adventure: In Search of the Polar Bear, Cruising Scandinavia & the Baltic Sea, and Adriatic Voyage: Croatia, Montenegro & Greece, with savings of up to $8,608 on the single supplement.

Last week, Crystal confirmed it would axe its single supplement for solo travellers booking a room or suite in 2025, for new reservations made between 5 February and 31 March 2025.
