After nearly a decade as Chairman Asia Pacific and recently serving as Strategic Advisor to Ponant’s Global CEO, Sarina Bratton AM recently concluded her official capacity with the luxury French expedition cruise line, PONANT.
Bratton’s final tw0-year contract with PONANT concluded last month, as planned, PONANT said in a statement.
“We extend our gratitude to Sarina for establishing PONANT’s APAC headquarters in November 2013,” Deb Corbett, CEO Asia Pacific said.
“Sarina played a crucial role in developing the Strategic Plan, recruiting staff, and launching operations in Sydney in February 2014.
“From starting with a blank slate and three ships, Sarina guided the APAC region’s growth to contribute 20% of global revenue, now with a company-wide fleet of 14 ships,” Corbett said.

Corbett continued: “Under Sarina’s guidance, PONANT APAC has transformed from a fledgling start-up into a leader in the luxury expedition sector.”
“Sarina will continue to invest in the maritime and hospitality sectors, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
Most recently Bratton was the driving force behind the launch of Paspaley Pearl, for PONANT. As revealed by LATTE last month, that venture with Ponant is no longer proceeding.
In June, Bratton stood down from the Australasia board of Cruise Lines International Association after nearly three decades of service.
