Global luxury travel design community Traveller Made has boosted its stable of luxury cruise partners, introducing ultra-luxe medium-sized operators to its member offering, LATTE can reveal.

For the past 10 years, Traveller Made has taken the approach of dealing with only niche cruising companies. Brands that operate a small number of vessels, primarily expedition-focused (such as Silversea and Quark Expeditions), as well as river (namely Les Bateaux, Belmond, Delfin Amazon Cruises, Heritage Lines and others).

“We believe that the smaller the size, the bigger the guest care and attention, which are essential for a memorable experience,” Diana Nuber, Commercial Director of Traveller Made told LATTE.

In 2017, Traveller Made introduced ‘Private Seas’ partnerships, which centred on agreements with charter yacht brokers and operators, enabling the consortia to provide member agencies with the “ultimate luxury choice for their most demanding clients,” Nuber added.

Responding to the growth of luxury cruising in the mid-sized ocean market in recent years, other cruise operators began appearing on the radar of Traveller Made’s member agencies who had identified some of the offerings provided “exceptional services too,” she said.

As a result, Traveller Made has rebranded its cruise partnerships under the handle of ‘Afloat Collection’. Now, Traveller Made has more cruise partners under both the Serandipians community and that of newcomer, Takumians (which was unveiled in September).

The most recent additions to the portfolio include Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Explora Journeys, both of which are available to members to book through either community through Traveller Made’s extranet.

“We’ll accept new cruise partners gradually,” Nuber told LATTE, “based on the needs of our communities, so you will see the Serandipians and Takumians Afloat collections grow in the coming years.”
