Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has released a preview of its new routes for autumn 2026 to autumn 2027 season, encompassing 120 new trips.

Sailing aboard luxury ships EUROPA and EUROPA 2 or the three identical expedition ships HANSEATIC inspiration, HANSEATIC nature and HANSEATIC spirit, the previews are available to view online now and bookings will start in January 2025.

EUROPA will extend the summer in the Mediterranean in Northern autumn 2026, after which its guests will travel to New York City for pre-Christmas shopping before continuing their route towards paradisiacal moments in the Caribbean. The highlights of the Caribbean are offered by the Christmas cruise, which combines Christmas Eve on St. Barths and a New Year’s Eve fireworks display off Barbados.

EUROPA will then celebrate a special premiere on its journey along the coasts of South, Central and North America, which starts in February and connects Valparaiso with San Francisco in a combination never seen before. Afterwards, EUROPA will also visit Canada again in early 2027, before returning to closer climes in the spring and shorter Mediterranean cruises will attract guests, followed by an extended Northern Europe season in the summer with new routes and combinations.

Over the Northern Autumn 2026, EUROPA 2 will travel from the Mediterranean around the African continent, with new ports such as Dakar, Banjul, Sao Tomé and Zanzibar. EUROPA 2‘s Christmas trip combines the Seychelles, Maldives and the island worlds of Thailand and Malaysia. New to the program are Western Australia, Papua New Guinea, Palau and a return to Japan and China.

The WA coast itinerary aboard EXPLORA 2 wraps up a 17-day voyage from Singapore to Perth, that departs the Lion City on 24 January 2027. The itinerary includes Semarang (Java), Pulau Menyawakan, Benoa (Bali), Lombok and Komodo in Indonesia before sailing to Australia and making entry in Broome, followed by Exmouth, Geraldton and ending in Fremantle.

That exploration is then followed up with a 19-day cruise from Fremantle to Auckland, departing on 10 February 2027. Port calls include Busselton, Albany, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ three expedition ships offer a varied route that leads to unique landscapes in some of the most remote regions of the world. The focus is on unforgettable polar nature experiences in the Antarctic and Arctic, impressive winter trips with the Northern Lights in Scandinavia and the Gulf of Bothnia, and the natural and cultural wealth of the Atlantic islands and African coasts.

In New Zealand, EUROPA 2 will offer a 17-day roundtrip cruise from Auckland on 1 March 2027 that will include White Island, Stewart Island, Milford, Doubtful and Thomspon Sounds, and more. The subsequent voyage is a 20-day sailing (on 18 March) from Auckland to Fiji, cruising via the Cook Islands and French Polynesia, before the luxury ship continues north to Hong Kong.

Destinations include Madagascar and South Africa, including the Nosy Hara Archipelago and Mayotte. The focus is on a moving experience and a deep understanding of the fascinating world of the Antarctic. Demanding expeditions with plenty of time for experiences in the Weddell Sea and the Antarctic Circle promise guests an experience in the footsteps of great pioneers.

The discovery trips in the Arctic, around Spitsbergen and to Greenland, also offer experiences that will have a lasting impact. Guests can look forward to a special premiere route from Reykjavik to Kangerlussuaq, as this trip combines a trip around Iceland with south/west Greenland. The route through the Japanese South Sea with little-known island worlds, including the Kerama Islands, also sets new accents.

The adventure program is rounded off with expeditions to South and Central America, the Panama Canal, Chilean fjords, New Zealand, the South Seas, the Western Pacific, Asia and Alaska.

The Great Lakes of North America return to the offering with three trips that reach Lake Superior, where Zodiac trips and extensive hikes in the Canadian wilderness create unforgettable moments. Unusual and rarely traveled routes such as the Northwest Passage, the semi-circumnavigation of Antarctica and the Amazon to Iquitos and back complement the diverse range of the expedition fleet.
