Global Luxury Business Owners Island Soiree kicks off

FCTG’s Luxury Travel Collection welcomes delegates on Hayman Island.

Luxury Travel Collection by Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) officially kicked off its inaugural Global Luxury Business Owners Island Soiree at InterContinental Hayman Island in Queensland this week. Organised exclusively for business owners and senior leadership of the Luxury Travel Collection brands, this annual event offers attendees three days of networking, partner activations and industry insights.

Delegates arrived on Tuesday 14 May and festivities kicked off with a ‘Sunset Soiree’ to welcome arrivals that evening.

Officially launched in February 2024, the Luxury Travel Collection is comprised of a portfolio of independent brands such as Bicton Travel, Claremont Travel and Cruise, Destination HQ, Dream Maker Travel, Emma Whiting Travel and Cruise, Travel Experts, and Home Travel Company, alongside FCTG’s luxury retail powerhouse, Travel Associates, plus the recently acquired Scott Dunn.

In attendance at the Island Soiree are Sonia Davies, CEO Scott Dunn; James Kavanagh, Global CEO Leisure FCTG; Nikki Glading, General Manager – Member Portfolio; Danielle Galloway, Global Managing Director of Luxury Leisure for FCTG; Rachel Kingswell, General Manager, Travel Associates; and Anna Burgdorf, Brand and Marketing Director, Luxury Travel Collection.

Day one insights and discussions saw Galloway and Kingswell take delegates through current industry trends and luxury brand analysis, while in-depth discussions were hosted by James Kavanagh, Global CEO leisure FCTG; Sonia Davies, CEO Scott Dunn; Kirsten Galliot, editor of Qantas magazine; Lisa Manser, Director of Wellness, COMO Resorts & Hotels; and Alexandra Smart, Smart.Alex Studio.

Advisors were also gifted experiences, hotel stays, cruises and membership upgrades from Galeries de Luxe partners, the organisation’s new advisor platform. Brand and product immersions are set to follow on Thursday.
