A module focused wholly on Australia’s high-end experiences has been introduced to Tourism Australia’s Aussie Specialist Program.

The Luxury Module spans nine key themes: Nature and Wildlife, The Outback, Indigenous Cultures, Experiences and Adventure, Family Friendly Travels, Celebrations/Honeymoon and Romance, Food and Drink, Islands and Coastal, and Urban.

Among the operators, products and experiences within the new module is Australian Wildlife Journeys which, through its operators, offers encounters with orcas in Western Australia’s Bremer Bay, marsupial spotting in Tasmania, bird twitching in Kakadu and Arnhemland. Other highlighted options include luxury accommodation and dining experiences at Longitude 131 at Uluru; Great Walks of Australia; Luxury Lodges of Australia; Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia; and five-star and boutique hotels in urban locations, alongside hot air ballooning in Canberra and street art tours in Melbourne.

“Whether it is in our modern cities or beyond or accessing one of our many World Heritage Areas, there is a brilliant experience of luxury that can be had ‘only in Australia’”, Tourism Australia said of the new module.

Tourism Australia Managing Director, Phillipa Harrison, has previously stated that the national tourism body would be encouraging Australians to holiday domestically as travel restrictions ease.
