Abercrombie & Kent’s Luxury Expedition Cruises is offering a new 48-day Grand Arctic Voyage in 2020 that will explore five regions, including the fabled Northwest Passage.
Departing Oslo on 31 July 2020, the Grand Arctic Voyage is comprised of three back-to-back sailings aboard the luxurious Le Boreal. On board Le Boreal, guests explore the Svalbard Islands, Greenland’s rarely-visited east coast, Iceland’s Westfjords, Greenland and the Bering Sea before concluding in Nome, Alaska on 16 September 2020. The nearly 50-day itinerary includes everything from varied wildlife, geological wonders, fabled cultures and endless wilderness deep in the heart of the Arctic.
The individual itineraries that constitute the adventure are:
- 15-day Arctic Cruise Adventure: In Search of the Polar Bear – 31 July to 14 August 2020
- 15-day Ultimate Iceland & Greenland Cruise – 13 August to 27 August 2020
- 24-day The Northwest Passage: From Greenland to the Bering Sea – 24 August to 16 September 2020
Whether joining one, two or all three cruises, guests can count on insight and guidance from an average of 20 A&K Expedition Team members every step of the way, with interactions that include adventurous Zodiac cruises, lectures and wildlife encounters. A&K’s dedicated photo coach also joins every voyage, allowing guests to hone their skills with lectures and hands-on workshops for both experts and budding photographers alike, all in one of the world’s most photogenic settings.
By chartering the luxurious mega-yacht Le Boreal, A&K can limit guest capacity to 199. This lower capacity allows unrestricted access to landing sites prohibited to larger vessels and also affords an intimate staff-to-guest ratio of 1 to 1.3 as well as allowing room for a private balcony in every stateroom and suite. Each voyage is all-inclusive, featuring arrival and departure transfers, gratuities and bar drinks in addition to complimentary Wi-Fi, Traveller’s Valet laundry service and exclusive A&K amenities.
The 15-day Ultimate Iceland & Greenland cruise is priced from AU$24,160 per person twin share, was $26,335.
The all-encompassing 48-day adventure is priced from US$55,785 per person twin share – down from US$68,985 – including a 10% savings and early booking discount. Australian pricing is used during the application.
