The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) in conjunction with Destination Asia and Virgin Australia; Cordis Hotel and The Murray hosted eight Australian Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs) recently, showing firsthand why Hong Kong should be top of their venue list.
The group spent four nights exploring Asia’s cosmopolitan and vibrant city. Highlights included Treasures of Kowloon for a fascinating discovery of the local area and its heritage; the full Hong Kong dining experiences from affordable Michelin dining at Yat Tung Heen, lunch at the Chinese Library at Tai Kwun and in the small traditional fishing village of Tai O to a sophisticated dinner at Aqua; day trip to Lantau Island passing the impressive Hong Kong- Zhuhai-Macau Bridge; a Tai Chi experience; spectacular views from Hong Kong’s highest bar Ozone located on the 118th floor of the ICC building .
HKTB’s Trade Marketing and Business Tourism Manager, Lisa Lee said: “We can talk about the destination and show people pictures, but what really gets people hooked on Hong Kong is experiencing the city’s dynamic cultural diversity firsthand.”
“HKTB have set their sights on growing Hong Kong’s MICE market, with Australia being a key factor to achieving this. By showcasing key MICE venues; spectacular dining experiences; and the endless options for any size group, we hope to secure Hong Kong at the top of their venue list,” Ms Lee said.
