Virtuoso’s Senior Manager, Global Cruise Programs, Tony Logan was in the region last week hosting a series of one-day ‘Cruise Host Training’ programs in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast.
It was the first time the program has been run in the region and qualifies Virtuoso advisors to host a Virtuoso Voyage. With over 600 Virtuoso Voyages held globally each year, the luxury travel network was keen to see more Australian-based network advisors qualified to host sailings from the APAC region.
The training coincided with the Virtuoso Travel Week on Tour, held across Australia and New Zealand, which included professional development ‘Deep Dive’ sessions held by Virtuoso’s Director of Training, Helen Nodland. The program teaches the advisors how to position themselves confidently in the value chain from travel agent to trusted advisor by utilising Virtuoso’s features.
More than 80 Australian advisors took part in the Virtuoso Voyages training and 380 advisors attended three days of roadshows presenting cruise product partners. The Voyages training group are pictured above (lead image) at the Crown Casino.

The Deep Dive NZ was attended by 14 travel advisors – pictured above – and 48 New Zealand-based advisors attended the Auckland roadshow which included cruise, hotel and destination product partner presentations.
