Located in the heart of quaint Gstaad amid the snow-capped Swiss Alps, Le Grand Bellevue is an idyllic winter retreat. The hotel’s unrivalled position on the central promenade leaves guests just a hop, skip and jump from the festive markets and twinkling lights of the chocolate box town. Heading into their fourth winter season, the team at Le Grand Bellevue has perfected the art of curing the winter blues; from indulgent hot chocolates by a roaring fire to Michelin-starred cuisine, a 3000-square-metre spa for easing knotted muscles or whizzing down the slopes, there’s no better place to be this winter.
This winter season will see a new permanent downhill run at Mount Rellerli, lying between a red and blue run in terms of difficulty. The mountains will also form the backdrop for Elevation 1049, the latest winter show by Neville Wakefield and Olympia Scarry, featuring an international programme of music, performance and sound installations inspired by the power and dynamic of avalanches.
In advance of the winter season opening on 16 December Le Grand Bellevue has designed two brand new experiences to appeal both to guests seeking a quiet pamper by the piste and those looking to dance on the tables après ski.
