Scenic has launched its 2017 Africa programme which includes a new extension: Mozambique Escape.

This five-day tour from Johannesburg brings guests to Bazaruto Island, a haven of tropical wildlife in the Indian Ocean. Guests will stay at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa, an institution known for its luxury and world-class service. Here, a range of activities are available from relaxing in a luxury beachfront villa to horse-riding along the beach. This independent extension can be added to any itinerary from Johannesburg on any date.

Aleisha Fittler, GM Journey Design, said of the extension: “We are always looking for new and exciting destinations to complete our guests’ bucket lists. The Bazaruto Islands are by far the most beautiful islands in Southern Africa, and I wanted to give our guests a relaxing extension in a pristine location.

“The resort is the ultimate luxury experience, making it perfect for our guests, and they can add it to any Southern Africa itinerary. After a record year in 2016 we look forward to building on the popularity of this amazing destination among our guests.”

Scenic is offering a number of Earlybird offers for bookings made by 31 December 2016, including partner fly free to Africa on the 31-Day Grand African Expedition or 24-Day Grand African Safari with savings of up to $2000 per couple including taxes up to a value of $800 per person, and savings of up to $1500 per couple on any journey to Africa of 12 days or longer.
