European Waterways, Europe’s largest luxury hotel barge operator, is offering great savings on cabins and full boat charters for Panache and Anjodi on selected six-night cruises in France this season.
Both vessels are offering AU$2320 off per cabin on selected departures in June and July. Full-boat charter specials are also available, with Anjodi offering AU$9300 off and Panache offering AU$14,000 off. Cabin specials are based on double occupancy and all specials must be booked by 20 June 2016 to qualify.
A classically Dutch-designed hotel barge, the eight-passenger Anjodi has had a facelift for 2016, with her cabins and saloon being refurbished to create a lighter, more spacious ambience that complements her African hardwood panelling and shining brass fittings. The hotel barge also features a spacious sundeck and hot tub to watch the world go by in luxury and comfort.
Excursion highlights – on the Canal du Midi – include a private wine tasting at the 14th-century Château de Perdiguier, a former noble’s country house that is renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines. Guests will also tour Carcassonne, a medieval walled city with its 53 watchtowers and double-walled fortifications and the culturally rich town of Pezenas, where French playwright and actor Molière once spent his summers.
With AU$2320 off per cabin on some Anjodi June and July departures, the fully crewed, six-night itinerary, based on double occupancy, costs from AU$4550 per person. Ideal for families and small groups, Anjodi is also offering AU$9300 off full-boat charter prices for select departures in June, July, and August.
The 12-passenger Panache cruises in Alsace and Lorraine, a unique region of France that has been occupied by both France and Germany at different times in history. Today, while officially part of France, many of its towns and villages, as well as its occupants, still have German names. Panache has recently undergone some refurbishments; the bar area has been remodelled, the cabins redecorated and dining and saloon areas have been refreshed with new furnishings. The spacious public spaces and amenities include comfortable double, or twin ensuite cabins with oversized showers, a large sundeck with a hot tub and 12 bicycles to ensure every guest can enjoy the level, charming towpaths and explore the nearby towns. Excursion highlights include touring the Route des Vins d’Alsace (Alsace Wine Route). It features roadside wine cellars, half-timbered villages and castles on hilltops. Visits to Strasbourg’s magnificent Gothic cathedral and the René Lalique museum are also included in the cruise itinerary.
Panache is also offering up to AU$2320 off per cabin on selected departures in June and July, with the fully crewed, six-night itinerary, based on double occupancy, costing from AU$6410 per person; and AU$14,000 off the full 12-passenger charter price for select departures in July and August.
