Val de Vie Estate in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley, South Africa, has hosted the sixth annual Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo Cape Town 2016 Presented by Mantis Collection.
The world-class event’s theme, Let Life Surprise You, featured a Ferrari vehicle display, a D’oré fashion show, a 3D Veuve Clicquot photo booth experience, and the 12-goal polo tournament with top national and international players competing.
Highlights of the event included the official fashion partner of the 2016 event, D’oré, showcasing Vanessa Gounden, Artivism for Breast Cancer collection that will retail exclusively at D’oré in South Africa, while the official hair partner of the event, Moroccanoil, showcased the latest international hair trends on the runway.
Other VIP guests included Nigerian and Ghanaian celebrities as well as some of South Africa’s finest, including Nomzamo Mbatha, Jeannie D, Jen Su, Bonnie Mbuli, Lee-Ann and Nicky van der Walt, Maps Maponyane, Ayanda Thabethe, Siv Ngesi, and Tanya van Graan.
Magazine Elle judged the event’s best dressed, with The Best Dressed Female of the day award claimed by Isibaya actress, Nomzamo Mbatha, Best Dressed Couple going to Nandi Ndlovu and Buntu Ngcuka, and Best Dressed Male to blogger and presenter Shiraz Reddy.
Ryk Neethling, Marketing Director for Val de Vie Estate handed over a R100,000 cheque from the event’s official charity partner, ISPS Handa, for Hope through Action in aid of sports development in the Paarl Valley area.
April brings Val de Vie’s polo season to a close, before opening again in October and playing host to the annual Cintron Pink Polo event on 5 November in support of the fight against breast cancer.
